Hi there! My name’s Samantha Dodson and I’m a professional photographer of 20 years. Photography has taken me all over the world, but now I’m staying put in the Northern Beaches of Sydney.

My Approach
- We work together to tell YOUR baby’s story.
- We’ll use family mementos that mean something to you and I’ll always let their little personality dictate the shots.
- Every Baby Montage is a one-of-a-kind, and that’s what makes it unique and personalised to you.
- I believe in continuity to keep the focus on your baby’s growth, so I use exactly the same setup and mementos for every shot.
- It takes just over a year to create your Baby Montage and that’s what makes it so special.
safety first
I only use natural poses - if a baby doesn't do it naturally, I'm not going to manipulate their little body no matter how cute it looks (please don't ask me to). Mum or Dad will be asked to help for the shoots. Your hand may even be in the shots supporting bub and I will remove it in Photoshop later - whatever it takes to keep your baby safe. (And yes, I've had my vaccinations).
fully qualified
I have completed over 500 hours of photography courses from Langara College in Vancouver, Canada. This includes courses in Lighting, Portraiture, Composition & Design, and Photoshop - just to name a few. I hold a degree in Behavioural Science and a Masters in Creative Advertising. I have also completed an Infant First Aid Course with Child Revive.
Private & secure
No images leave my hands. I'm a fully-qualified and experienced photo-retoucher, so rest assured your baby's photos will never be sent overseas for cheap retouching - I do it all myself. To securely and privately proof your baby's images, you'll be given a password-protected link to your own gallery. I'm also fully insured, just as any person who comes to your house to work should be.

My home studio in Collaroy is ready for your Baby Montage photo shoots if your home is unavailable, you prefer studio lighting, or you live out of the area and are willing to travel to me.
